Cairn, Creevagh, Co. Offaly is a clearance cairn beside a potential enclosure first seen in aerial photographs. It belongs to the ordinary human habit of gathering scattered stones and making the land easier to use. The nearby mound may be glacial rather than built, reminding us that some shapes look like memory when they are only geology.
