Carnkeerin is a Bronze Age cairn in County Antrim, Ireland. It is not certain whether the stones mark a burial, a boundary or a gift to the rain, but that uncertainty is what makes the place alive. A person may have carried stones from elsewhere, stacked them in darkness and left before dawn. The cairn still holds the shape of that choice.
