Cairn is a grass-covered burial mound on a Clare ridge, preserving a hidden cist and joining a standing stone and wedge tomb across open pasture. It is a place where the dead remained visible long after the living stopped visiting. The stones still mark the edge of the world, waiting for someone to remember what they held.

On an elevated ridge in rough pasture with panoramic views, within an extensive multiperiod field system (CL009-084001-). This mostly grass-covered, subcircular stone cairn (12m N-S; 10m E-W; H 0.6-1.1m) has a cist (CL010-047008-) on its N side. There is a standing stone (CL010-047012-) c. 178m to the WSW, and a wedge tomb (CL010-047009-) c. 195m to the N. See attached image: CL010-047017_01 JPG Aerial view of site from the east (photo. Burial cairn with cist, likely dating to the Neolithic or early Bronze Age. Its location within a multiperiod landscape suggests it is part of a broader prehistoric settlement and funerary tradition.
