Cadbury Castle is a Bronze and Iron Age hillfort on a limestone summit near Yeovil, reused by Roman forces and later occupied until after 580. Its ramparts enclose a broad plateau where a Saxon mint briefly struck coins and a great hall stood among smaller rooms. The name may honour Cador or the River Cam, while legend still points the castle toward Arthur's Camelot.
