What is recorded here

Belleisle still keeps a boat house from the eighteenth century, perhaps built on the bones of an older bawn. The possibility itself is the interesting part: a military boundary erased, a river journey remembered instead. Stone and water do not care about human categories. They preserve motion, not ownership.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as C18th BOAT HOUSE, possibly on site of BAWN. Recorded period: MODERN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
