Not visible at ground level, it has been suggested that Busherstown House was built on the site of a medieval castle. Busherstown House consists of a 3 bay, two storey castlellated 18th-century house with round tower at one end built on the site of a castle. House burned in 1764 and subsequently rebuilt, possibly built on the site of a medieval castle (Bence-Jones 1978, 51; Loeber 1988 vol. 2, 12). No evidence to suggest that Busherstown House was built on site of medieval castle.
