What is recorded here

A small spread of burnt stone material was exposed here as part of the construction work associated with the Greystones Southern Access Route (Excavation Licence 04E0128; Site 20). It was preserved in situ. (Wiggins 2007, 482-3).

Burnt mound, likely dating to the Neolithic or Bronze Age. Its significance lies in providing evidence of ancient domestic or ritual activity, though specific function remains undetermined.
