Burnt mound in Maulavanig

In boggy ground on the SE side of a recently felled forest, on a SE-facing slope. According to local information, there was formerly a mound of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil here. Earth and stones are visible on the upturned roots of a felled tree but only a few of the many exposed stones are heat-shattered.
