On flat poorly drained land in upland area. Large irregular shaped flat topped mound (diam. 30m; H 2m) enclosed by a fosse (Wth 1m) best preserved from S through W to N. Recent livestock grazing has removed top soil exposing burnt material. Nearby fulacht fiadh located to the S (OF043-036----) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
