According to local information there was a mound of black burnt stones roughly at this location. The mound was levelled c. 10 years ago, c. 2007, when a small area of woodland was planted. The mound is not visible at ground level. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 15 May 2017
Burnt mound; likely Bronze Age. These features are commonly associated with ritual or industrial activities, such as heat-treated stone use in cooking or hide-scalding.
