What is recorded here
The site has been stripped and excavation has started. The remains consist of four
burnt mounds (three found in testing and a new one). A Burnt Mound (BM) identified
in testing has since turned out to be natural, blackened soils.
• BM2: Deposit around 7m in diameter x 0.20m high

Burnt mound; likely Bronze Age. The site shows evidence of ritual or domestic activity involving heat, typical of burnt mounds associated with prehistoric water management or ceremonial practices.
