Burnt mound in Ballymackesy

First noted in 1973-4 (SMR file) and located on a gentle SE-facing slope. This is an oval area of burnt and cracked stones and black earth (dims. 15m x 8m) visible when the area is ploughed. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
