Burncastle is a medieval farmstead in the Scottish Borders, preserved in the national record rather than lost to time. It may have fed horses, people or both before castle kitchens swallowed local farms whole. The name still carries that boundary between household and war, domestic life stretched thin under martial ambition.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Burncastle as Farmstead (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
