An Chorrchloch, now called Burkes Castle, stands as an unclassified ruin in Kilmore parish, County Mayo. The site retains the shape of a castle though no clear date or builder remains attached to its name. It is the kind of place where stone outlives memory, keeping a shape the region once recognised but has stopped explaining.
