BURIAL (unlocated) in Cargan

BURIAL (unlocated)

What is recorded here

Under Cargan's soil lies a Bronze Age burial chamber, its exact chamber lost to time but its purpose certain: someone was set down there with honour. The ground may have shifted, stones may have scattered, yet the act of burial remains written in the earth. That much is enough to imagine hands shaping a grave, witnesses standing silent, and a life returning to the field.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as BURIAL (unlocated). Recorded period: UNCERTAIN; BRONZE AGE. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
