Loughboy townland once held a burial mound containing human bones, but a bulldozer erased it in 1957. The precise spot is lost, leaving behind only a gap in the earth and a reminder that progress often feeds on forgotten lives.
According to records in the National Museum of Ireland a mound containing human bones was bulldozed in 1957 (NMI Finds Register 1957: 351).
