What is recorded here
Keeran Shemis died in Drumacullin, County Antrim, and was buried there, though no surviving record preserves the date or the shape of the grave. The land may have swallowed the marker, the path and the witness, leaving only the name to float above ordinary soil. Whatever was lost, the act of burying him meant someone loved him enough to stop the world and dig.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as BURIAL: KEERAN SHEMIS. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
