Yes. An unknown person was buried beneath a flag stone near the Shannon shore on Tarbert Island, waiting patiently for discovery. Workmen opened that hidden chamber in May 1965, bringing back a life that had fallen out of every named memory.
In May 1965, human remains were discovered by workmen underneath a flag stone approximately 1.2m below ground level c. 5.5m from the shore of the Shannon river. Not located. Compiled by: Matt Kelleher Date of upload: 28 January 2013
