What is recorded here
Oughtmama holds three abandoned churches, and rabbits disturbed the largest one in 1983. They brought up a complete human jawbone with teeth still catching the light. The bones were buried again, but the incident suggests that the field has kept a person close enough for ordinary animals to handle the remains.
A complete human jawbone with teeth was uprooted by rabbit burrowing close to the corner of the largest of the three churches at Oughtmama (CL003-032002-) in 1983 and was reburied. (Coffey 1985, 30)
