Murrisk Bay and Dooghmakeon still keep the burial in Carrownisky, though the public record has not yet revealed whether it is a mound, trench or row of stones. The name itself does most of the work, pointing to death before image and forcing the mind to finish what the file withholds. A person may have stood there in rain, carrying another body into ground already softened by time. That much is written in the title, even when the description remains absent.
