Burial in Ballymacoo

O'Sullivan (1955, 2) noted 'a saint's grave' in this townland. He described it as a 'coffin shaped enclosure surrounded by low mound in North, East and West'. He gives its location as 'across the river from Tobairín Beannuighthe' (9259). Exact location not known. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
