What is recorded here
An Cárán remains a buried presence in County Galway, holding human remains beneath soil that has forgotten the names of the dead. The earth may have swallowed lovers, enemies or strangers, but it kept them without judgement. What is lost is not the life itself, but the shape of the hands that once touched the people now sleeping underneath.
