Associated gate lodge is detached three-bay single-storey with attic, flat-roofed entrance porch extension to front and three-bay single-storey lean-to extension to rear, roughcast rendered walls with date-stone 'R.K. 1861' to east gable, pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystack, stone copings to gables and replacement uPVC rainwater goods. Bawnmore House, formerly an outbuilding, has an interesting mix of stone, brick and render to the front elevation, making it a visually attractive building. The gate lodge serving the house was built ten years later, a sign that the house and its estate were becoming more important. The original sash windows are a notable feature of the gate lodge. The lodge and former outbuildings are a significant architectural grouping in the area.
