Rosstemple, meaning the high place of the church in County Limerick, likely held a kyle burial ground tied to templary reputation. The exact spot has vanished, but the name still points toward a sacred landscape where people once laid their dead beneath open sky. Charles Ormsby received the land in 1666, yet the older shadow of Ross Temple from 1410 remains embedded in the identity of the place.

The precise location of a 'kyle burial ground' within the townland of Rosstemple (Ros an Teampaill / the high place of the church) has not been identified. Westropp recorded the following details; ‘Ross Temple, Kiltemplalain near bruff, 1410, Rostemple. Rosse Temple granted to Charles Ormsby, 1666 (Act. Sett.).
