Killosheheen holds a circular burial mound fourteen metres wide, buried in rough pasture and still called Lisheen by local people. The earth and stone have watched sheep, rain and forgotten lives for generations. What is certain is the shape, the size and the name; what is missing is the story of the people placed there. The mound remains a quiet marker of death, memory and continuity in County Mayo.
