Kilblaffer holds an oval burial ground where local tradition warns that ill-luck follows anyone who tilts or disturbs the earth. The warning may have preserved the place, because the area remains unploughed and unchanged. Something sacred or memorable must have lived there, even if no grave has yet shown itself.

Hartnett (1939, 234) noted oval area (c. 60m E-W; c. 50m N-S), enclosed by field fence SW->SE, 'slight ridge' SE->SW. He was informed locally that it was 'an old burial ground for children and ill-luck followed any person who tilled or in any way interfered with it'. Area remains unploughed and as described by Hartnett. No evidence of burials but uneven ground surface noted.
