Ahane Beg holds a forgotten church and burial ground on Mrs Murphy's land, marked by four headstones between nine and twenty-eight inches high. The stones still stand though the exact spot has slipped from modern memory, preserving a small cluster of graves beneath ordinary Cork soil.

Bowman (1934, 299) recorded burial ground and church site on Mrs Murphy's land where 'four headstones from 9 to 28 inches high mark the sites of graves.' Exact location not known.
