Carragh Burial Ground in County Kildare defies the 1838 Ordnance Survey map, continuing to receive the dead despite its absence from official records. The rectangular plot holds eighteenth-century headstones beside church ruins, while a deep eastern drain replaces a wall, giving the sacred space a fortified edge. Two lost roadside crosses hint at a wider landscape of devotion now erased, leaving only the growing graveyard to remember what carriage and cartography forgot.
Burial Ground is a cemetery in County Kildare, Ireland.
