A D-shaped bullaun stone (dims 0.47m x 0.33m) of a conglomerate stone with a single basin (diam. 0.18m; D 8cm) is set in the ground inside the entrance stile of the graveyard (WX049-008002-). Likely dating to the early medieval period, bullaun stones were often used for ritual purposes, such as the preparation of holy water or as pilgrimage sites associated with Christian saints. This example may have had a spiritual or symbolic function within the local graveyard setting.
