Bullaun stone in Massreagh

Two basin-stones (DG045-009001/002-) are lying along the main street of Kilmacrenan. (1) (DG045-009001-) A boulder 1.22m x .6m has a depression .29m in diameter and 0.17m deep at one end. A second depression .05m in diameter and at least .04m in depth is cut at the other end of the stone. (2) (DG045-009002-) On the E side of the road a roughly square block of stone .31m has a depression .14m in diameter and 0.06m in depth. No information regarding the provenance of either stone was available. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
