A roughly rectangular block of stone (0.4m x 0.3m x 0.15m) with a circular depression (diam. 0.15m; D 0.07m) cut near the edge of the largest surface. Likely dating to the early Christian period, the bullaun stone may have been used for ritual purposes, such as anointing with holy oil or as a font for baptism. Such stones are often associated with local folklore and are sometimes linked to nearby holy sites or monastic activity.
