Kilconly Church in County Kerry still carries a possible bullaun stone on the eastern end of its north wall. Women may have knelt there for children, ease or mercy, their prayers wearing the rock smooth before the wall was built. The church stood in the way of remembering, yet it also preserved the mark. Stone and mortar both became vessels for the same request.

In 2007 a graveyard survey carried out by Karen Buckley and Laurence Dunne recorded the following details about an unrecorded bullaun stone on the N wall of Kilconly Church (KE001-028----): 'A possible bullaun stone is located on top of the N wall at its eastern end' (Buckley and Dunne 2007, 6).
