Bullaun stone in Inis Oírr is an oval granite slab with a shallow oval depression and a smaller conical hollow inside it. It lies beside a leacht on Inis Oírr, having moved from near the church doorway where it stood when visitors saw it in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The nested hollow suggests repeated handling, perhaps for oil, water or prayer, though no written account preserves the exact use.

This oval granite bullaun (0.6m x 0.43m; T 0.22m) is lying on the ground to the NW of a leacht (GA120-002009-). When Westropp (1895, 272) and Mason (1938, 197-8) visited the island it was located near the doorway of the church (GA120-002004-), where another bullaun (GA120-002004-) is embedded in the ground. This bullaun has a slightly dished broad face with a shallow oval depression (0.3m x 0.2m). Within the latter is smaller conical depression (Wth 0.3m; D 0.3m) (information from Dr J. Waddell).
