There is a granite bullaun stone (dims 0.88m x 0.66m; H 0.23m) with a single basin (dims 0.34m x 0.32m; D 0.2m) set in the ground outside NW corner of Kilcowan church (WX046-042001-) within the graveyard (WX046-042004-). Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 20 August, 2013

Likely dating to the early Christian period, the bullaun stone may have been used for ritual purification or as a font for holy water. Such stones are often associated with church sites and may have had both religious and folkloric significance in the local community.
