In average pasture, broken by rock outcropping. A flat-topped, roughly rectangular stone (0.75m x 0.6m) with a shallow, circular basin-like hollow (diam. 0.35m) in the centre of the upper surface. The stone is embedded in the ground and barely protrudes above the surface.
There is a possible enclosure (MA073-046001-) in the same field. Another bullaun stone (MA073-045003-), a possible cashel (MA073-045001-)and a Man-made underground passage (MA073-045002-) are located c. 50m to NE.

Likely dating to the Early Christian or later prehistoric period, bullaun stones are often associated with ritual or ecclesiastical use, such as for holding holy water or as pilgrimage markers. They may also have earlier pagan significance, linked to healing or land boundaries, and are sometimes the focus of local folklore involving saints or ancient druids.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
