Stone depot, c.1850, comprising section of random rubble stone wall on a U-shaped plan with lime mortar, rubble stone coping, and wall-mounted cast-iron milestone on a triangular plan in unpainted rendered surround having inscribed ‘voussoirs’. Set back from line of road with grass verge to front.

An attractive feature in the streetscape, this stone depot is of importance as a relic surviving from a period when the road network was improved in County Waterford. The stone depot is one of a group surviving in the county, concentrated primarily on the Dungarvan Road. The milestone represents an early-surviving artefact of mass-produced cast-iron ware, while the various raised details enhance the artistic design quality of the piece.
