Building in Kilcoursey

Unlocated building described in the ITA survey of 1942 as '50 yds on the Clara side of the castle (OF008-016----) is a roofless building …. Called the temple - possibly a place of worship for the castle inmates' (ITA Survey 1942). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
