What is recorded here
Limited archaeological excavations at 68/69 O'Connell Street (Excavation Licence no. 00E0510) revealed a length of medieval wall that may be part of a medieval building or medieval boundary wall (Tierney 2000, 12-13). It was constructed with flat stone blocks, on average 0.4m L x 0.1m T (ibid.). The wall was under and on the same alignment as an upstanding wall (ibid.).
