What is recorded here
Bruntwood Craig is shown as a cliff on the public map of Angus. The saved point is the map point or the centre of its mapped shape.
Bruntwood Craig is a sea cliff composed primarily of Silurian greywacke, formed around 440 to 420 million years ago through sedimentation and subsequent lithification in a deep marine environment. The cliff is notable for its resistant rock type, which has withstood coastal erosion, preserving geological features of the Southern Uplands terrane.
