Bronze Age people built an enclosure at Gortnamaddy or White Hall, perhaps for ritual rather than daily life. They cut markers into the ground and returned there across generations, shaping the land into a place where the ordinary world thinned. The site still belongs to County Antrim, holding that old intention beneath grass and rain.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as BRONZE AGE ENCLOSURE, possibly RITUAL SITE. Recorded period: PREHISTORIC; BRONZE AGE; E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
