No surface remains visible of bridge depicted on a map of Kilmallock town dating from c. 1600 (TCD, MS 1209/62). On this map the bridge is shown spanning the River Loobagh to the S of the Dominican Friary (LI047-022018-) and to the N of the church (LI047-022009) and graveyard (LI047-022010-).
