Single-arched bridge carrying road over the Ominey River, built c. 1860. Round-headed arch having rock-faced voussoirs to arch having dressed margins; squared and coursed rubble stone construction to arch barrel. Squared rubble stone construction to parapets and spandrels with mildly rock-faced cut stone coping over parapets. Some dressed ashlar stonework to one of the parapets. Some modern repairs to parapets. Tarmacadam deck with grass verges; bridge rises to centre. Located in the rural landscape to the north of Pettigoe.

This simple but appealing small-scale bridge retains its early character and form, and is an appealing feature in the rural landscape to the north Pettigoe. It is robustly-constructed in good quality squared local rubble stone masonry, and its continued survival stands as testament to the quality of its original construction, and of the skill of the masons involved. It is one of the best surviving small-scale bridges in the area with many of the others being altered over the years. The good-quality rock-faced voussoirs to the arches and mildly rock-faced coping to the parapets are features found at the many bridges that were built or altered by the Board of Works during the mid-to-late nineteenth century, and particularly between c. 1847 - 60, suggesting that this bridge may have been built around this time (not depicted on Ordnance Survey first edition six-inch map sheet of 1837). This appealing rustic bridge is an attractive feature in the landscape to the north of Pettigoe and is an integral element of the built heritage of the local area.
