Brides Well is a holy well hidden in deciduous woodland on Carton Demesne, County Kildare, beside the Rye Water. A large covered sump now marks the site, but the name suggests brides once visited this quiet water, perhaps to wash fear from wedding clothes or to drink before marriage. The well may have given young women courage, clarity, or a final private moment before they left their families behind.

Linked to Saint Bride (Brigid), the well is associated with traditional healing practices and may have been a site of pilgrimage. Local folklore suggests the water was sought for its curative properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and general well-being.
