Brian Boroimhe's well stands behind a decorative doorway on Castle Avenue, preserving the memory that Irish chiefs drank from it during the Battle of Clontarf. The original open water is gone, replaced by a modern dispenser set into the marked site. That change does not diminish the place; it shows how a dangerous battlefield memory became a public gift, still giving water long after the swords stopped sounding.

Located along Castle Avenue. At the site is a very decorative doorway with an inscription ' Brian Boroimhe's well' with a water dispenser inserted. This is the well where according to local tradition the Irish chiefs are said to have refreshed themselves during the Battle of Clontarf (Ryan 1938, 40-1; O'Gorman 1879, 80, 169).
