This blue commemorative plaque records: Borough Police Station. The first Borough Police Station stood in front of this wall. It was accommodated in a dwelling house rented in 1836 by The Mayor and Common Council. The building was demolished towards the end of the 19th century Recorded plaque organisation: Haverfordwest Civic Society, Haverfordwest Town Council.

The Borough Police Station marked an early establishment of local policing in London, reflecting the expansion of municipal law enforcement following the Metropolitan Police Act of 1829.
