In improved pasture 70m S of a local road. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a circular-shaped enclosure. Annotated ‘Boolanlisheen’ on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map where it is shown as an oval-shaped area (dims. c. 47m NE-SW, 35m NW-SE) enclosed by a bank from N-S-W reduce to a field boundary elsewhere. Surveyed by the ASI in 1999 wand hen described as a raised, roughly circular-shaped area (diam. 42m N-S; 38m E-W) enclosed by a bank (Wth 8m; H 1.4m) from N-S-W reduced to a scarp (H 1.4m) elsewhere with an external fosse (Wth 1.9m) from N-S-W. Interior slopes sharply to NW. Truncated at N and W by field boundary running NE-SW. Outline of monument is clearly visible on Google Earth orthoimages. See attached Google Earth orthoimages.
