What is recorded here
Bodelwyddan Castle, Office (Adjoining SE. Office Wing) is a Post Medieval country house in Denbighshire, Wales. The main castle already attracts attention, but this separate office wing suggests the estate needed its own administrative heart. Perhaps clerks sat inside while the grand facade performed for visitors, hiding the ordinary paperwork that kept a large household alive.
The National Monuments Record of Wales records Bodelwyddan Castle, Office (Adjoining SE. Office Wing) as Country House from the Post Medieval period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
Bodelwyddan Castle, including its adjoining SE Office Wing, was built by the Williams-Wynn family in the late 16th century and significantly expanded in the 19th century. It is important as a historic family seat and an example of Welsh country house architecture.
The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
