Gilburn Place in Bo'ness marked a quoits ground from the early to mid twentieth century. People may have swung heavy rings across that Falkirk soil, testing strength and aim while watching where the metal flew. The flat earth may have echoed with laughter, argument and the heavy thud of rings striking target.
