The terrace may have been built for view, ceremony or private pleasure, while the garden suggests ongoing care rather than abandoned ruin. A person may have walked there at dawn, arranged flowers, pointed at the hills or sat beside a statue until the light changed. The place still holds that much: a shaped outdoor room where human life moved, saw and remained remembered.
