What is recorded here

Two curved banks still trace a shallow moon in the Skeagh fields, perhaps enclosing a home, a granary or a seasonal camp. The shape suggests people who wanted a boundary but not a fortress, drawing a line between inside and outside with earth alone. That much is visible. The rest belongs to imagination, which is fine because the ground has already done its part.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as BIVALLATE RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
